Donati Studio was hired to help start-up motorcycle company MOTUS fulfill their dream to build the next iconic American brand. Our task was to build an inspired identity from the ground up.
MOTUS has a non-conformist, rebellious spirit. We designed a new logo that captures the unique design principles of the new motorcycle and the company’s bold attitude. We created a microsite to allow visitors to chart the progress of the new bike on its way to the production line.
The MOTUS microsite struck a chord almost immediately. Site visits grow exponentially every day with a consistent flow of requests for buyer and investor information and frequent mentions in motorcycle blogs and industry trade publications.
MOTUS is an start-up motorcycle company in the middle stages of producing a limited edition, artfully designed, high performance All-American motorcycle. Based in Birmingham, AL, alongside Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Barber Motorsports Park.
Despite the current economy, there is a yearning among serious motorcycle enthusiasts for an authentic All-American high performance sport touring motorcycle whose engineering roots are in racing and a willingness to invest for the privilege to own such a unique machine.
The new MOTUS MST – 01 V4 Sport Tourer will be a badge of American motorsports pride, engineered with racing heritage.
The MST will be the first motorcycle of its kind – a lightweight, high performance, long distance machine with a high torque, liquid cooled engine that provides an incredibly comfortable ride, delivers an extraordinary exhaust note and is completely designed, engineered and built in America, using exclusive American racing manufacturers as partners. One such partner is Pratt & Miller, a leading motorsports manufacturer best known for their championship Corvette and Chevrolet teams, winners of numerous NASCAR races, Le Mans Series and Grand-Am racing series. Pratt & Miller is building a high torque, liquid cooled V4 engine for the MST.
Currently, MOTUS is in the funding and building stage. The response to the MOTUS brand continues to have an impact in the industry. As a result, major funding is in place and we may soon see the first of these iconic bikes rolling down a street near you.
